New Hampshire and Maine are known for their beautiful scenery, Portsmouth is a great starting point to explore it all! Portsmouth offers a great beginning to an adventure that will always be remembered. Whether traveling North along Maine's rocky coastline, or South through New Hampshire’s short but sweet stretch of beaches, a great adventure is surely in your future. What are you waiting for?!

Biking is a great way to explore the area we are located in, and there are many different options available. Venture along New Hampshire and Maines Coastal roads on routes we’ve compiled, ranging from 7 to 18 miles (for starters). You’ll be blown away by how beautiful the area is.

Ride from the Inn along the quiet back streets of Portsmouth by Prescott Park, and Strawbery Banke Museum to cross the bridges to the adorable Island town of New Castle! Continue South to ride along the scenic coastal road of 1A and take in New Hampshire’s rocky & sandy coastline through Rye, North Hampton, Hampton and as far South as Seabrook if you’re up for the challenge. Ride out and back on the coast, or loop back North along some quiet New Hampshire back roads!

Cross the Memorial Bridge over the Piscataqua River to ride by our sister location The Water Street Inn. Continue on to explore Southern Maine’s Coastal Region, which consists of Kittery, York, Wells, Ogunquit, and Kennebunk, to name a few. These beautiful coastal towns are all worth a visit. For starters, travel North through the quaint little town of Kittery’s Forside, and on towards Coastal Kittery. From there you can travel North onto the windy back roads of 103 towards York, ME, then loop back South towards the Inn. Longer routes are always an option if you’re up for it!
